Easter

Last week Blaine's family was in town from Washington for spring break. Both sides of our family are from out of state, so it is always nice to see them since we do not see them enough! Unfortunately, while Blaine's family was here, Cannon had his first cold and sprouted two bottom teeth! So, he was not his normal, cheerful self. However, he was still a great sport when it came to taking pictures. I tried to pick the best pictures of Cannon in his cute little Easter bunny ears, but could not resist putting them all up on the blog. We hope you all had a great Easter!

Sixth Months

We had Cannon's six month doctor appointment today. Six months!!! Can you believe it? Cannon is still measuring pretty short in length. He is now at 15% for length and 15% for weight. Poor little guy. :) But, Blaine and I aren't the tallest people around, so I guess it makes since.

My parents and little brother, Kyle, came to see us over this last weekend. It was a pretty short trip since they had spent their spring break in Jamaica the week before. However, we still had a good time shopping, going out to eat, and having our first of the year BBQ. I love how the weather is getting warmer and that summer will be here before we know it! I cannot wait for warmer weather and to take Cannon outside to play! There is just so much more to do outside than inside! :)

Update on Cannon: Still rolling around like crazy, sitting up by himself for only 10 seconds, eating rice cereal, smiling and talking ALL the time, sleeping great at night, napping better during the day, pulling off his socks, grabbing at noses/glasses/jewelery/whatever, jumping in his Baby Einstein, and wanting to be around people ALL the time...Cannon loves to socialize with anyone who shows him attention. :) We love our short and stout little sixth month old! Enjoy Cannon's latest pics:

Happy 5 Months Cannon!

My oh my how the time flies! Cannon just turned 5 months yesterday. We weighed him on our semi accurate baby scale and he was pushing 16 pounds!!! He has now doubled his birth weight and continues to chub out (mostly in his mid section area). Now if only he would grow in length! :)

Over the past month and a half, Cannon has started going to bed between 7-8pm and waking up between 6:30-7:30am. It has been HEAVEN! It is so nice to be able to spend time with Blaine once Cannon goes to sleep and to get some more sound sleep myself! What I like most about Cannon's sleep schedule is how cheerful he is in the mornings. Now that he is getting much more sleep at night, he isn't has fussy during the day, which makes mommy VERY happy! He has also started taking morning naps each day around 9-10am. Now if only we can conquer the afternoon nap so Cannon can stay cheerful throughout the day, and not just in the early-late morning!

Cannon continues to put anything in front of him into his mouth and drools constantly. I think the baby teeth are well on there way...bad news for nursing! He can also roll from back to tummy and tummy to back. It is so fun watching him learn new things! Anyway, here are some pictures of our five month old:

Cannon is 4 months!

I cannot believe that it has already been four months since Cannon was born! Cannon had his four month appointment with his pediatrician yesterday, and we found out that he is in the 25th percentile in length and the 55th percentile in weight. So, he is pretty much our short and stocky baby! :) Cannon is still wearing 0-3 month pant sizes and has finally moved up to 3-6 month shirt sizes. Slowly but surely our 14.5 pound four month old is getting there! Anyway, I wanted to post some recent pictures of our little man...
