Whale Girl
There is a reason why I have not posted any pictures on here over the last few weeks...I officially look and feel pregnant. I am 27 weeks pregnant today and am feeling the woes of pregnancy:
1.Swollen hands and feet.
2.Appearance of spider veins.
3.Protruding belly button.
4.Excruciating sciatic nerve pain.
5.Shortness of breath.
6.Indigestion.
7.Dizziness.
8.Clumsiness.
9.Extreme weight gain.
10.Back pain.
Among many other changes that come with pregnancy, these ten things have been the toughest to deal with. The unfortunate part is that as I approach my third and last trimester next week, the changes are only going to get worse! I will post pictures of myself next week when I hit my third trimester mark. Until then, here are some pictures of what I have been going through over the past two months...

20 weeks pregnant and golfing
So I am officially half way done with my pregnancy..wahoo! We had our official ultrasound appointment last week where we were able to see the chambers of the heart, regions of the brain, bone structure, and other organs of our baby. I was really nervous about this appointment but everything looked great and our baby is right on schedule to be delivered around September 22nd. That's my boy!
Since the weather was nice this weekend and I did not have to work, Blaine and I wanted to spend some time outside. Blaine suggested we spend some "quality" time out on the golf course. Usually I say no, but this time I thought I would just go and see what the game was all about and whether or not it was worth playing sometime in the future. Also, I felt pretty bad for dragging Blaine along the night before shopping for maternity clothes, and wanted to do something that would be fun for him. Golf was exactly what I had thought it would be...long and boring. But, I think if I would have actually played along with Blaine, instead of just following him around to each hole, it would have been more fun. It took Blaine about 2 1/2 hours to finish 9 holes, which was an extremely long time, especially when you are tired, hot, hungry, and pregnant!...not a good combination! What made it seem longer was that I didn't want to get a golf cart because I wanted the exercise of walking to each hole...big mistake! Even though Blaine only played 9 holes instead of 18, it was quite a workout! I told Blaine I might try it again sometime when a)I'm not pregnant, b)We bring lots of snacks and water, and c)I get to drive the golf cart.
